Pick a list and the number of days
Under Advent calendar activities, tap Family, Kids or Couples. Choose 24 days (December 1–24) or 25 days if you want a square for Christmas Day. Type over any activity, or clear it to get writing lines for a handwritten note.
- Put big outings on weekends: each square shows the weekday for the year you choose.
- Keep one or two easy days (hot cocoa, a movie) for busy evenings.
Choose the poster, the cards or both
The one-page grid poster is best for a fridge or wall. The daily cards layout prints 12 cards per page with dashed cut lines for envelopes, bags or a matchbox calendar. The Advent kit button saves the poster and all card pages in one PDF.
- Change the title, for example 'The Smiths' Christmas Countdown'.
- Turn off 'Show the activity' to hide the plan and stick the cards on later.
Print at 100% and cut
Pick US Letter or A4 under Calendar Maker settings, download the PDF or click Print, and choose Actual size or 100%. Plain 80–90 g/m² (20–24 lb) paper works for the poster; 160–200 g/m² card stock (60–110 lb cover) makes sturdier cards. Cut along the dashed lines with scissors or a paper trimmer.

The First Sunday of Advent is Sunday, November 29, 2026 (and November 28 in 2027), so church Advent runs November 29 to December 24 this year. Most advent calendars ignore that and count December 1–24 so the same calendar works every year, which is what this tool does by default.
The traditional advent calendar has 24 doors, December 1 to Christmas Eve. Some families, especially in the US, add a 25th for Christmas Day. Use the Number of days menu: 24 gives a 4 × 6 poster, 25 gives a 5 × 5 grid, and the last square is always highlighted.
Activities work well: bake cookies, watch a Christmas movie, drive to see the lights, write to Santa, donate a toy, read a Christmas story. For adults, try a small act of kindness or a cozy date.
